Baby Shampoo

It’s drawing to the end of lovebug season (thank God!) and I have a handy tidbit to pass along! Don’t buy the overpriced (and probably bad for the environment) bug remover soap they are selling in the stores. Just go to the nearest baby isle and grab a bottle of baby shampoo. Since the bugs are protein and shampoo is designed to break down protein it works wonders!

We recently drove from our house in Bradenton down to Nokomis beach, which is about 30 min away via I-75. By the time I got home I could barely see out of my windshield the bugs were so caked on. The next morning I busted out Anthony’s shampoo and gave my car a bath. Now normally scrubbing bugs from a car takes forever but this time I was done in like 10 min!! I wiped the buggy areas down with the soap mixture and let it sit for a min or two and then went back over it and they wiped off like magic, and I was only using a washcloth. Nothin’ fancy here folks.  So if you are having the same buggy fun that I am, give the baby shampoo a shot and see how it works for you ;)
