For those of us making our own baby food I thought I would pass on that cuisinart has a section on their site with different recipes for baby. I have 3 cookbooks, which I use religiously, but it is always fun to see what else is out there!

The pediatrician has given me the go-ahead to put Anthony is a forward facing car seat. He has reached the correct weight, but more importantly he is currently touching the back of the seat with his feet in his infant rear-facing seat. And honestly I’m worried that, god forbid, we should get into an accident he could seriously hurt himself. So! I’m on the look out - ANY advice would be appreciated!!
The two that I am considering at this point are the Britax Regent and the Sunshine Kid Radian.
Post a comment with pros, cons, and any suggestions you have! Thanks!!!

While I would love to guarantee that Anthony would not become obese in his later years I find this just a little (ok more than a little) scary. Personally I think we, as parents, should be showing our children good food choices - remember those fruits and veges people - rather than tampering with their growth in such a hazardous way. Get off your a** and show them how to exercise instead of sit in front of the TV and I bet that would help with future obesity!
Scientists are developing an infant formula designed to be given to babies to prevent them growing up fat, it was revealed today. The controversial research aims to supplement baby milk with a hormone that suppresses hunger, but fears have been raised about the safety of tampering with the brains of babies in such a fundamental way.

And this is why I think we should have to take classes and/or have a license to have children. How horrid would it have been for that baby to have died, especially with the thousands of people out there wanting a child and not being able to have one. What do you think?
A San Francisco woman gave birth to a baby boy on the sidewalk Sunday night, then walked away pretending that it never happened, said San Francisco police Capt. Al Casciato.

How the hell could you live with yourself after doing such a thing! I hope she stays behind bars for a LONG time. And my brother wonders why I make people wash their hands before handling the baby, especially when he was just days old! Since it was on her shirt washing the hands might not have helped but it does show a little bit of neurosis is a good thing at times.
Was it because the infant was sucking on her shirt or because she poured pesticides down its throat? Was the Aunt jealous over the baby shower?

Not sure how to take this at all but I thought I would make others aware of how things stand.
Turns out that many of the symptoms of shaken-baby syndrome may actually hint at another common disease among infants. Now judges across the country are carefully instructing jurors that Shaken-Baby syndrome may have been mis-diagnosed all along. This is sad on many levels.

Holy Cow!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Drug-resistant versions of the AIDS virus passed from mother to child can quickly hide in the infant’s immune system cells and lurk for years, researchers reported on Monday.
