Hard at Work

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Ramblings

I haven’t posted recently but it isn’t because I’m not thinking of you! We’re hard at work over here getting ready for the baby shower this Sunday and dealing with Anthony hitting those terrible 2’s (yes, it is a little early since he’s only 20 months…). He is very inflexible recently and throws a temper tantrum immediately if he doesn’t get his way :(

I’ll write more soon!

Huggies Happy Baby Network

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Sales, Coupons & Contests

I just found this over at babycheapskate.com and had to share it with you guys!

From Huggies Happy Baby Network:
“From April 21- May 18, 2008, when you buy 3 packages of any HUGGIES® Diapers on one receipt, you’ll get your choice of a $5 Rebate, a FREE CD or a FREE DVD.”Think of the $5 rebate as $1.67 off each jumbo. The gamblers among us will wait for a good sale.

Click the link above to download an order form. Mail it in by 6/20. The order form doesn’t say “limit one per household.” It does say, “while supplies last,” but I’m guessing they’re referring to the non $$ products.

Adorable Personalized Presents

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Holidays

keyringI came across this website today that has some of the cutest personalized gifts. In honor of all the holidays and seasons coming up (Mother’s Day, wedding season - June is still the “hot” month to get married in) I thought I’d share some of what I’d found.

steppingstoneThey have a large selection for weddings, new babies (twins and triplet section t00), anniversaries, communions, baptism, etc. Shipping seems reasonable, as are their prices on everything I looked at. Of course, I had to do a quick browse through the Mother’s Day section since that is the closest holiday and found several adorable gifts I wouldn’t mind getting ;)

Free Family Attractions List

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Things to Do

Looking for something to do with the kids when there is a day off from school or planning your summer? Rebekah at Motherhood Moment mentions a site called Free-Attractions.com that lists (you guessed it!) attractions across the country that are free for families. On her blog, Rebekah writes: “It isn’t a comprehensive list yet, but hopefully it will become so in time. It is ad-heavy, but may provide some ideas for your next trip!”

32 Wk UltraSound

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Medical, Ramblings

So I went in for my ultrasound yesterday to make sure the cerclage is holding strong and that Vince is not having any problems hanging out in there. Imagine my surprise when the technician told me my kid is a chunky butt! Ok, so he was waaay to polite to even say something of that nature but he did tell me that Vince is already weighing in over 5 lbs!!!! No wonder I have absolutely no space left in there! Tony, the tech, said if I carry to full term expect to have a baby weighing in at 9-10 lbs! Holy cow. Literally. Anthony (my first) weighed 7 lb 5 oz when he was born and it was a difficult delivery since his head was just a smidge too big so I can’t imagine how Vince is going to fit. That thought leads me into the horrors of imagining a c-section.

Don’t get me wrong I find nothing wrong with a c-section and if that is what is best for the both of us, by all means! Anthony almost turned into a c-section so I’m not one of those women that feel I must give birth vaginally. I’m just worried that it will make healing harder and make Anthony feel even more displaced because I won’t be able to pick him up and do anything I would normally.

Excuse me while I go back to my corner and continue whimpering.

This was posted on my Yahoo group board. Some of you might be interested and it’s a good idea to get in on it while the free shipping is going on.

Well I swore that I would never have clothes at our store but when I saw the L’Oved Baby line that changed. Never say never.

Now is the time to check them out while we have free shipping until Sunday. They are listed under Fashion/Baby Fashion on our website.

Very reasonable on prices too!

Not Rational Sample Sale in LA

Posted by: cassie  /  Category: Gear, Sales, Coupons & Contests

This was posted on a Yahoo bag board I’m part of. You’ll have to do a search for the sample sale in Google to see the flyer or find an in-the-know friend.

For any LA moms here, there will be a NR sample sale on this Sat, 4/26. I’m not really familiar with LA, but the address looks like it’s just east of Culver City (west LA).
