In honor of Earth Day and all of us trying to remove plastics from our lives - specifically sippies, etc. I thought a coupon code for mysigg.com would be in order. It’s good for 30% off so not a bad deal at all! Use VIP302008 to capture the steal.
I recently bought two of the smaller ones (.3) for Anthony to use and two .6 ones for me to use while out and about. So far they haven’t worked well with Anthony since he loves the idea of tipping them upside down and watching the drink pour out. He’s into that sort of thing atm. Don’t let my kid turn you off though since I’ve heard plenty of people use them without any problems!

This review was written by a friend of mine after searching for some new cups for her son. Thanks Buffy!
I know some of you are looking for alternatives to plastics for our kids products. I was looking for some alternatives to the regular plastic sippy cups. I had read some reviews about the Thermos Foogo Straw Cup and decided to give one a try. I LOVE it and more importantly Bode loves it! They are stainless steel and keep a drink cold for 12 hours. It’s true, too, Bode’s drink stays cold til it is either gone or I poor it out. All straw cups can leak because it can come out of the straw, but I have had very little leaking out of it. When the snap top is down it doesn’t leak at all. It holds 12 oz., so it lasts him a good while. It is designed more like a “big person’s” cup and actually fits in ALL cup holders and fits much nicer into my purse than the regular bulky cups. I think it is easier to clean than regular sippy cups/valves and doesn’t get that “plastic” smell. At $15, it is pricey, but I have to say that I find myself using it instead of all my other cups. I keep one or two regular sippy cups for yogurt and milk drinks because I keep the Foogo cup filled with water or water/juice all day. I found mine at Target in the sports section with the adult sports bottles and Thermoses. Then I found one on clearance at Kohls (although, it’s pink!! oh well!!). O.k., I will quit going on and on, but if you are looking for an alternative to plastic to add to your sippy cup rotation, I highly recommend trying this cup! They also make a sippy cup, but the reviews aren’t quite as good on it and I haven’t tried it, so can’t say one way or the other, but the straw cup is GREAT!!!

Petunia Pickle Bottom has a PPB outlet store and currently has a wonderful sale going on, which includes discontinued classics and certified seconds. This is the second sale they’ve done since I found out these bags existed and now that I know what #2 is (another boy woo-hoo!) I can shop in earnest. Before, I just drooled over them and was torn on what to get. Turns out it was good I didn’t go with the really girly bag I wanted since it just wouldn’t have fit with 2 boys. Yea I know it’s mommy’s bag but still…
They will be offering 30-70% off retail prices on a selection of past season Discontinued Classics and Certified Seconds.
The dates for the next Semi-Annual Outlet sale are Tuesday April 22 8:00am PST to Monday April 28 Midnight PST.
Check out the sale and see what you can get for yourself or some deserving mom you know (after all Mother’s Day is coming!!). And bonus, we will be doing a world of good since profits from the sales go to the Leukemia Foundation.

Today was the Parents of Multiples of Sarasota annual garage sale, and imagine that but Jody and I just *had* to go. Turns out it was a great score all the way around for both of us so I’m definitely glad we went!

I picked up an almost brand-new Baby Jogger City Series Double stroller for $200 and a Thomas the Train remote control train-set for Anthony for $5. Jody found this amazing busy box for $2 whole dollars that is normally $90!! We also each bought a pair of arm swimmies for 25 cents each and I bought a pair of water shoes for Anthony for $2. Overall not a bad cache of stuff if I do say so.
There were a lot of clothes, some toys and household items, and various types of gear (strollers, car seats, walkers, etc.). There was even coffee and donuts for sale. Best of all the women hosting the sale were very helpful and went the extra mile to make the sale for sure! (One even went online and looked up my bank location so I could buy the stroller in cash. How is that for customer service!!) The icing on the cake?! They had a safety technician there that would check your car seats for $15 to make sure you were safe and had them installed correctly.
I think some of their prices were over the top and that the location was horrible since I almost got lost getting there with a nav system and the parking was cramped but I will most definitely go again next year!

Ok so I’ve finally done it! I sent out the invitations for the baby shower yesterday and finalized the baby registry at BabiesRUs today. The only thing I couldn’t add to the registries at BRU or Rightstart was the Lamaze Dream Screen since neither store carries it. Bummer
However; I cheated and also created a registry at Target (mainly so I can continue getting their baby coupon booklets and the extra 10% off items on the registry) and they do carry it!
I’m really hoping people look at the registries and don’t just buy clothes since we have a ton that I kept from Anthony. I know how hard it is to resist those cute little outfits but puh-leeze do! If you are undecided on what to purchase - gift cards, Pampers diapers and wipes are always appreciated!
xoxoxo
