So I’ve recently found some great mommy bargain sites that are basically a deal-of-the-day sort of thing. I can’t resist checking them out several times a day because some of them do update their inventory with something new when the recent “it” item gets sold out. Great for gift ideas for parents and young children!
MamaBargains.com - they update their site several times a day and have a well-rounded selection of items. So far in the past two days I’ve seen Timi & Leslie diaper back packs, shoes and now a baby carrier sling. I ordered 2 backpacks from them so I’ll let you know how it goes.
Update: So far they have exceeded my expectations! They sent me a prompt email confirmation for my order and my order has already shipped as of today via UPS.
Babysteals.com - they update once a day and when the item is sold, it’s sold.
Tottlers.com - I’m unsure how often they update their site. They currently have the same deal up there today as they did yesterday.
Overall if you are a bargain shopper and interested in deals, bookmark the sites and check them out once a day or once a week. Either way you never know what you’ll be able to find and get for yourself or someone else!

Click here for this weekend’s $5 off $25 Babies R Us coupon. It’s good in store or online, and if you are like me and have a baby registry there that is soon to expire, you can combine it with the 10% off coupon they send you in the mail. Yea you know where I’ll be trying to go tomorrow! IF not - I guess it’s online shopping for me!

Keep your eyes peeled around mid-June to see what Target has for us then.
….. don’t want to get anybody too excited, but Target released a fantastic Luvs coupon last June–BOGO free megas. So far this year Target has released coupons similar, but not identical to, last year’s coupons. I don’t expect BOGO free Luvs megas, but I do expect a good diaper coupon from Target in mid June.
Thanks babycheapskate.com for the info!

I tell ya - it’s the pits having a house full of sick people, especially since the only one really able to take medication to help speed his healing doesn’t like to. We’ve been laid low this week and are finally recuperating but are by no means there yet. How terrible to be due any day with #2 and not be able to breathe. I’m praying he holds off until we all feel better!

I’m not one to normally go on and on about gas prices and we feel the pinch like everyone else. Although since Nick works from home our gas bill is pretty much all me and my driving. But dang! I haven’t filled up for a week since my car was in the shop and today for premium gas it was a whopping 4.29$ a gallon! Holy smokes!
Luckily I already do pretty smart driving by combining errands, plotting my trips, etc. but this is getting out of hand. I’ve already been hit by the dementia that is spreading across America from the increase in prices on everything.
You see, about 2 weeks ago I posted a free curb alert ad on Craigslist and made it very obvious it was first come, first serve and that everything was located in front of the garage so my community couldn’t get upset that it was at the curb. The result? Someone had the nerve to come back later that day or days later - not sure on that - and STEAL my brand-new to me double bike trailer that we had just purchase for $45 on craigslist about a week prior to that. Now you say - “why was it outside” and “why was it near the stuff you were giving away”. Well, it was outside because the stuff I was giving away needed to leave before it could go in the garage and Nick needed to move his car so I could pull the bike trailer in. And it was no-where near the stuff given away. It was on the side of my house, far away from the free items. And frankly, it wasn’t noted as a free item in the post so WTH did someone have to come and steal from me for my good deed?!
I’m still peeved that it happened and makes me realize that doing good deeds for other people just winds up biting me in the butt. From now on, I’ll donate all my stuff to Goodwill or put it in the trash. That way Goodwill can over price my items and sell them to people or it can just fill up a landfill that much faster
Sucks, huh?

This is a post from Freebies 4 Mom from about a week ago and I forgot to mention it until now. I’m not sure if Anthony would have any interest in this just yet but it is too much fun to keep to myself. Besides, with summer on the way (and no school) we all need a little bit more entertainment for the kiddos.
Did you know that you can get a free download of the current Sesame Street Magazine? I didn’t know this until just now - have my readers been keeping this freebie a secret? My son is talking about Elmo today and I can’t wait to see what he thinks about seeing Elmo in this digital magazine! You can browse this 16-page PDF file and then print the activity pages that you want. It looks like they offer this free download every month!

Baby Cheapskate says the $5 rebate had been extended to June 15. You can only request this rebate once, but it is worth it if you can combine it with a diaper deal. Check out Babycheapskate.com to see the latest diaper deals for the week.

Some Toys ‘R Us and Babies ‘R Us stores are issuing store credit for those bringing in their bottles with BPA. Each store is handling this issue differently because the only corporate-wide policy is that they will be phasing-out the BPA bottles sold from these stores. Be sure to read the comments to get a feel for what the experiences have been of some of my readers. This is something that if you are going to try doing, you need to do it soon because I expect that some stores who were accepting them now may stop accepting them soon. I know you don’t want to make the trip to the store if they will not accept them, but I am getting the impression that some stores will say “No” to you on the phone, but “Yes” to you in-person. If your store is far away, definitely call first. Many stores will absolutely not take them back unless you meet their normal return policy, because there has not been a recall issued for BPA bottles.

I was in Big Lots yesterday and they had the bags used for storing/checking/traveling with for $4.70. Normal retail price on these runs at least $20. I don’t know if they are a uniform size or of good quality but definitely worth checking out if you need some. I bought 2 of them since we may be doing some traveling at the end of the summer and haven’t decided if we are flying or driving with the kids.
I’ll try to get Nick to test out the Britax Roundabout with one of them and see if it fits and let you know.
