Personalized Stroller Bags

Posted by cassie on Tuesday, 17 June, 2008 @ 5:44 pm

This was posted on my local craigslist and, of course, I had to check them out. I like that there are lots of different fabrics and colors to choose from. Although, I wish they had better, more detailed pictures to show how it attaches, etc. If you are looking for an inexpensive, hip and cute stroller bag be sure to check these out.

Rowdy Changing Pad

Posted by cassie on Friday, 6 June, 2008 @ 7:54 pm

ragged padSo one of the women on the baby bag board mention Rowdy Products the other day and, of course, being the bag queen that I am I had to go see what they were all about. I must say they are very nice looking! I especially liked the changing pad they offer since it is an all-in-one dealie with a spot for the wipes and dipes conveniently placed. And lucky for me they have a contest going on right now that for every 25th registration you can win one Ragged Changing Pad in Lime or Pink. Woo-hoo!! I was one of the 25th registrations and won! YEAH! If I didn’t like them before I like them even better now!

I picked the lime one. I can’t wait to see it in action!

Timi & Leslie Backpack Diaper Bags

Posted by cassie on Thursday, 5 June, 2008 @ 8:11 pm

I got them! I got them! Ok so I’m dancing around with glee over a few diaper bags. And for those of you that know me in RL you aren’t surprised. I LOVE bags - it used to be handbags but now it’s been transfered. They don’t have to be expensive (although I do covet a few Mia Bossi’s and some others) but they have to be cute and functional. Even if the function hasn’t been discovered yet. I’ll get there eventually :D Does anyone else hear a groan in the background from my darling fiance?

So anywho…back to those backpacks! I got them today in the mail and boy are they super duper cute! The two patterns I picked are the Mia (green oriental print) and Edie (pink and red circle pattern). I was a tad worried since they have a vinyl coating for wash-ability sake that I wouldn’t like it or it would be too shiny. Nope! They have several interior pockets and came with a matching changing pad. I *thought* they came with a matching zipper pouch too but mine didn’t. (Cust service is checking into that for me and I’ll let ya’ll know) They seem rather roomy and like this will be great for day trips.

I’ll pack one up tomorrow, take some RL photos and list everything out I could stuff in there.

Timi & Leslie MiaNow I’m waiting on the T&L totes (ordered several days ago) and the T&L Large diaper bags (Mia pictured at left) that I ordered today. Oh and BTW if anyone is wondering at the prices - $37.20 for the large diaper bag. That’s 75% off the retail price of $150.00!

Boy do I hope Nick isn’t reading this stuff!! I really don’t know what I’ll need with a newborn and toddler and at these prices I can’t pass it up. At the very least I’ll pass them on to girlfriends for presents or save them for my nieces that are currently prego.

If anyone is wondering where I am getting these fantastic deals - www.mamabargains.com. Be sure to check them out. I just wish they’d include a promo code for me so I can save even more $$. And if they have something you think I can’t live without - email me. That’s right - feed my addiction ;)

Winn Dixie Diaper Close-Out

Posted by cassie on Thursday, 5 June, 2008 @ 3:35 pm

I stopped in Winn-Dixie on Fruitville Rd today and they had the Mega packs of Luvs on close out for $5.99, Pampers Cruisers size 7 (18 in pack) on close out for $5.99, Pampers Boys 3T-4T Feel n’ Learns for $5.99 and Pampers Swimmers size 3-5 for $5.99.

So if you have some spare time, money and coupons head on over to your local WD and see what you can find!

Also, don’t forget to check out CVS for Pampers diapers, especially if you have a CVS card. They are on sale this week for $7.99 and if you purchase $20 worth (before coupons) you get $5 back in ECBs. Rumor has it that next week the same deal will apply but with Huggies instead.

Diaper Bag for Toddler & Newborn

Posted by cassie on Tuesday, 3 June, 2008 @ 7:04 pm

Just when I was finally getting used to carrying a smaller diaper bag, I now have to go to a LARGER one. Figures, right? Amazingly enough it is like finding a needle in a haystack or so far it has been for me. I know it needs to be larger since I’ll have twice the amt of stuff including a change of clothes for the newborn and a shirt for myself, plus the additional diapers, etc. It also has to not be a cavernous bag that you would fall into and lose yourself. Notice the dilemma! Also, I’ve noticed in my search that a lot of bags have black interiors. I’m sure it’s to show less dirt but imagine hunting through that for your stuff with 2 kids in tow. Ick!

So in the name of organization I bought two sets of Sugar Booger Clean/Dirty bags to help with the clothing issue (especially since we are beginning potty training with our toddler) and I carry a small wristlet for my personal items such as DL, credit cards, etc. My cell I keep in my pocket and my keys go in an outside pocket on the bag.

What I’ll be carrying:
- 2 chic carry wristlets for diapers
- tons of snacks (toddler needs options)
- sippy (sometimes 2)
- my stuff - keys, cell & wristlet
- Sugar Booger Dirty & Clean Bags w/ changes of clothes
- spit up rag
- blanket

Any suggestions on what to get? I’d like it to be able to hang over the back of my stroller (P&T Sport) and not be too bulky even when stuffed to the gills. I’ve also thought about having 2 bags - one that stays in the car and the other for “every day” use. The only thing with that, is how do you decide what stays and what goes?

Target Luvs Deals

Posted by cassie on Friday, 30 May, 2008 @ 8:04 pm

Keep your eyes peeled around mid-June to see what Target has for us then.

….. don’t want to get anybody too excited, but Target released a fantastic Luvs coupon last June–BOGO free megas. So far this year Target has released coupons similar, but not identical to, last year’s coupons. I don’t expect BOGO free Luvs megas, but I do expect a good diaper coupon from Target in mid June.

Thanks babycheapskate.com for the info!

Babies ‘R Us BPA Bottle Refunds

Posted by cassie on Tuesday, 27 May, 2008 @ 7:40 pm

Some Toys ‘R Us and Babies ‘R Us stores are issuing store credit for those bringing in their bottles with BPA. Each store is handling this issue differently because the only corporate-wide policy is that they will be phasing-out the BPA bottles sold from these stores. Be sure to read the comments to get a feel for what the experiences have been of some of my readers. This is something that if you are going to try doing, you need to do it soon because I expect that some stores who were accepting them now may stop accepting them soon. I know you don’t want to make the trip to the store if they will not accept them, but I am getting the impression that some stores will say “No” to you on the phone, but “Yes” to you in-person. If your store is far away, definitely call first. Many stores will absolutely not take them back unless you meet their normal return policy, because there has not been a recall issued for BPA bottles.

Car Seat Travel Bags

Posted by cassie on Saturday, 24 May, 2008 @ 8:46 pm

I was in Big Lots yesterday and they had the bags used for storing/checking/traveling with for $4.70. Normal retail price on these runs at least $20. I don’t know if they are a uniform size or of good quality but definitely worth checking out if you need some. I bought 2 of them since we may be doing some traveling at the end of the summer and haven’t decided if we are flying or driving with the kids.

I’ll try to get Nick to test out the Britax Roundabout with one of them and see if it fits and let you know.

Publix Diaper Deals

Posted by cassie on Saturday, 24 May, 2008 @ 3:54 pm

The Publix on State Road 70 and I-75 has their packages of size 3 - 5 diapers on clearance. The big boxes (168 for size 4) are $20.00 and the smaller packages are $10. They are not located in the clearance section of the store but are instead in the baby aisle. Which is why I always go down that aisle even when I don’t need anything - you never know what you’ll find :)

I’ve never tried Publix brand diapers but am strongly tempted to give it a go at these prices. For those of you wondering it’s 8.4 cents a diaper if you buy the size 4 168 ct box.
